In a visit to the County Courthouse, a homeowner can usually find a plat map of the property that they own within the county. The map will clearly demarcate the boundaries of the property. Over the years, these maps and legal descriptions have resolved neighbor disputes, for example:

  1. Who pays for the fallen tree
  2. Where can the fence go?
  3. Whose grass are you cutting?

Yes, legal boundaries have solved a lot of problems that could have escalated into the unthinkable.
