Marriage is Like Lemonade

Mark 10:5-9, “And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh: What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.”

God showed me that marriage can be compared to lemonade. It only takes three basic ingredients to make it sweet, refreshing, thirst-quenching, and satisfying. Water, lemon, and sugar. I love lemonade. All this talk about lemonade is making me thirsty!

Society frequently uses the term thirsty in reference to women and men. The Urban Dictionary’s definition of thirsty:

  1. Too eager to get something (especially play or attention)

  2. Desperate.
