What Does it Mean to be Set Apart?
by Sylvia Alves
One of the best and most crucial decisions you can ever make in your life is to give your life to Christ. Heaven rejoices and celebrates when one accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and joins the royal Kingdom. Once you accept Christ into your heart, you are instantly set apart. 1 Peter 2:9-10 (NIV) reads, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.” The key words that stood out in this scripture are chosen people.
